FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 5112 The Gongoliers, would be grateful to have you as a sponsor to assist us with our upcoming exciting robotics events. The Gongoliers are from Ponaganset High School, the only public high school in Rhode Island with an FRC team. Team 5112 seeks to design accessible, innovative programs that motivate young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, while building self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills.

This is The Gongoliers’ seventh year participating in FRC and we are expecting an exceptional season. In previous seasons we were fortunate enough to receive the Gracious Professionalism award at the Southeast Mass Event, as well as the Rhode Island District Event and the Judges award at the Rhode Island District Event. Our team also has many honors from previous years that we are proud to list on our home page.

The students from The Gongoliers, are also going to be a part of the future workforce! In each FRC season, we have to construct a robot from scratch, involving programming and engineering, and use it in competitions that require troubleshooting and mechanical skills! We learn valuable skills from FRC and many of us intend to go into engineering based careers after we leave high school.

Your support would provide us with the financial aid that we need to be successful. With your assistance, our team would be able to afford parts for the robot, team shirts, pit construction, electronics, drive train components, team transportation, and advertising supplies.
